The service

A planning tool, not professional travel advice

Waypoint helps you organise and share travel information. Schedules, live travel data, routes, document suggestions, prices and exchange rates may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Check critical details with the airline, accommodation, transport operator, government or other authoritative provider. Waypoint does not provide legal, immigration, safety, financial or insurance advice.

Accounts

Keep your account accurate and secure

You must provide accurate information, protect your sign-in credentials and promptly tell Rimu Apps about suspected unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity through your account. Trip owners control collaborator and viewer access; only share content you are authorised to share.

Paid features

One-time upgrades and renewing subscriptions

Trip Pro is a one-time, time-limited upgrade for the selected trip. Pro Viewer and Waypoint Pro are subscriptions that automatically renew for the period shown at purchase until cancelled. The checkout screen identifies the seller, price, currency, taxes, renewal period and payment provider before you confirm.

Depending on your store account and region, payment is processed by Stripe, Apple App Store or Google Play. Manage or cancel a subscription through the provider shown in Waypoint’s Usage & plans screen. Cancellation stops future renewal and normally leaves access active until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled under the payment provider’s terms and applicable consumer law. Deleting Waypoint or your account does not itself cancel a subscription.

Rimu Apps may change future prices or plan features with notice required by law or the payment provider. Price changes do not remove rights already paid for. If multiple provider subscriptions are active for one account, you must manage each one separately.

Your content

You keep ownership

You retain ownership of content you add. You grant Rimu Apps a limited licence to host, process, copy and transmit it only as needed to operate, secure and improve Waypoint and provide features you request. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for content you upload or share.

Acceptable use

Use Waypoint lawfully

Do not misuse Waypoint, interfere with its security or availability, attempt unauthorised access, evade quotas or payment controls, upload malicious or unlawful material, infringe another person’s rights, or use the service to harm, deceive or harass people. Rimu Apps may restrict activity reasonably believed to threaten users, providers or the service.

Availability

Services and integrations can change

Waypoint is provided using third-party stores, cloud services, maps and travel-data providers. Features can be unavailable because of connectivity, device support, provider changes, maintenance or events outside reasonable control. Rimu Apps may update or discontinue a feature, while honouring paid access and consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Liability

Rights that law gives you still apply

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act where it applies. To the extent permitted by law, Rimu Apps is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, missed travel, provider acts, or decisions made from unverified information. If liability can lawfully be limited, the aggregate limit is the amount you paid Rimu Apps for Waypoint in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Ending use

You can stop using Waypoint

You can export eligible trip data and delete your account using the controls described in the privacy policy. Rimu Apps may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated breach, unlawful conduct, security risk or non-payment, with notice where reasonably possible. Provisions about payment, ownership, liability and disputes survive where their nature requires it.

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, without limiting mandatory protections of the country where you live. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear a dispute.
